A cavernous abyss deep within the Rift, lined with jagged stone ridges that spiral inward like the throat of some impossible beast. The walls pulse faintly with a red phosphorescence, breathing in sync with the players' own heartbeats.

Every sound — a word, a shuffle, a gasp — reverberates into a distorted chorus that lingers in the air far too long, making it difficult to know who spoke first or what was truly said.

Bridges of bone-like material stretch across the abyss, connecting platforms suspended by chains that groan with each step. Beneath, only darkness — though sometimes shapes shift and writhe far below, as if waiting for anyone who falls.

The Maw awakens.

It is not a place, but a hunger given form — a wound in the Rift that never closes. Its throat stretches endlessly, its walls alive with a pulse that echoes your every breath. Chains creak overhead, binding fractured platforms together like the ribs of some titanic corpse. Step too loudly, and the Maw repeats you, mocking you with your own voice until you no longer know which thought was yours and which was planted.

It does not crave flesh. It craves agreement. Harmony. The kind of unison that strips away individuality until only one voice remains. To descend into its depths is to surrender your words to its rhythm. To resist is to be swallowed.

The Rift has split you into chains, clusters of trembling voices suspended above the abyss. The Maw leans close, listening. Twelve times, it will pose a question. Twelve times, it will demand an answer.

But beware — the Maw is patient, not merciful. It does not reward truth. It rewards unity. Only the team whose voices blend most cleanly into one will be allowed passage. The others will feel the chains splinter, hear the final groan of iron as the abyss claims them.

Speak carefully. Agree quickly.

For in the Resonant Maw, those who cannot become one will never be heard again.

Rules

You are not alone in the Resonant Maw. The Rift has split you up before, with choices of venues killing of the best of you. But now you must be bound together by the creaking links of iron suspended above the abyss.

The Maw does not ask for strength. It does not ask for cleverness. Its demand is simpler, and far more dangerous: unity.

The game before you is deceptively easy. Twelve questions will be asked. None of them have a true answer. None of them matter to the Maw. What matters is that you and your fellow players speak as one.

It does not care what you choose — only that you choose together.In your private channel, you will create a list of answers, numbered from one to twelve.

One by one, you will fill the blanks. With each question, your voices must align. If your team fractures — if too many of you break away with different choices — the Maw will feel the discord echoing through its throat. The chain that binds you will groan, and the iron will begin to splinter.

When the twelve questions have been answered, the Maw will weigh you and your peers. If and only if your reach a sense of enough unity, holding enough agreement, you should hope to find your chains steady enough to cross the abyss and leave the Maw behind.

If you feel too separated from the group you will feel the last snap of iron, the cold pull of the abyss, and your voices swallowed whole, lost forever in the endless echoes.

The game is not about being right.

The game is not about being clever.

The game is about becoming one voice.

Fail to do so, and the Maw will devour you.
