"A tropical beach? Maybe the Rift felt nice and wanted to reward the players with a holiday!" you think to yourself as you followed the path.
Upon arriving, you were expecting to see a stunning beach with the vibrant colours you were promised but you were surprised to see none of that. In fact you saw almost nothing at all.
A thick layer of fog smothered your vision and the other players quickly disappeared out of your sight. You continued treading on the surprisingly soft sand.
"Maybe the Rift forgot to check the weather forecast?" you question as you make your way to the ocean.
The fog has cleared up a bit here and you look into the vast ocean, everything else so tiny in comparison.
After a solid minute, you finally step into the ocean and feel the cold salt water hit against your legs. You look down and see some movement in the water
You bend down to get a closer look at what it is only to realise it's just some sand. However, you do notice something else tiny moving, and this time it's not sand...
The Rift has bound you to a Turritopsis Dohrnii.
One of you must die in order for the other to survive. Luckily for you, Turritopsis Dohrnii are smaller than a grain of rice.
Unluckily for you, they are immortal and the Rift gave them very, very venomous tentacles.
You turn around and try get back onto the beach but you don't see it, only an endless expanse of water. You're trapped in the ocean with nothing but yourself and a tiny jellyfish.
"Maybe I should've read the terms and conditions..."
You are trapped in the ocean and if you do not find a way to kill the Turritopsis Dohrnii in time, you will be stung to death and your dead body will be left in the ocean as food for its friends.
A turtle is nearby and can eat the jellyfish but needs commanding to reach you. To command the turtle to move type turtle up/down/left/right. Each command must be sent in a separate message in your confessional and your attempt must not be interrupted by messages that aren't commands starting with turtle. Each command moves the turtle one square.
For example, if I wanted the turtle to go right once then up twice I would send: turtle right, turtle up, turtle up, The turtle cannot turn back on itself (i.e. you cannot do turtle up then turtle down immediately after) or swim through seaweed.
The turtle also has limited energy; after 25 movement commands, the turtle will be fatigued and will not swim.
You must not edit or delete messages. Doing so will result in a game over.
Once the turtle has reached you, you must buzz (using ?buzz) the phrase Turtle eat Turritopsis Dohrnii and ping me. This marks the end of your attempt.
There must not be any non-command messages between your first turtle command and your final buzz.
If you successfully command the turtle to your location and have it eat the jellyfish, you will be allowed to survive and the beach will return. If you fail to command the turtle, the jellyfish will sting you to death.
Successfully command the turtle to eat the Turritopsis Dohrnii.
Fail to command the turtle to your location, command the turtle to turn back on itself, command the turtle to swim into seaweed, make the turtle run out of energy before arriving at your location, fail to command the turtle to eat the Turritopsis Dohrnii.
You (and the jellyfish) are at position X and the turtle starts at position T.
As you shout your command for the turtle to eat the Turritopsis Dohrnii, the fog clears up and the beach returns
You walk back on the soft sand and see something written in large, bold letters on the sand:
DAVE WILL BE AVENGED!
You think nothing of it and make your way back to... somewhere.
Anywhere but back here. You would never come back here again... right?
